The promo has been up for several days. Surely, there are dozens of other things you could push on the Thingiverse site that doesn’t direct us to MyMiniFactory?
Seems counterproductive towards revitalizing this site.
Maybe post Thingiverse links on MyMiniFactory to redirect traffic here? Boost your ad revenue and traffic instead of trying to send it away.

Thanks for sharing your thought. The mechanical clock design that was featured is relevant to a lot of visitors to Thingiverse. We wanted to evaluate the appetite of the Thingiverse community for crowdfunding.
While that may be true. I was encouraged by the new management to remove any external links as a “favor” to not redirect traffic elsewhere.

So I can redirect to MMF, but no where else?
Two whole days and had to bring it back. And not a new thing, the same redirecting advertisement. I guess the only way to “save” Thingiverse is redirecting everyone to MyMiniFactory.
There was no plan except make a profit. I’m glad I exported all my things now. MMF has removed all doubt.
Hi, like I mentioned previously, we’re running experiments. This could be a feature designers and the community enjoy on thingiverse, so it’s helpful to collect data.
It’s rather like owning both Manchester United FC and Chelsea FC and deciding to run an experiment by hanging a Chelsea banner inside Old Trafford in attempt to get data on how many Chelsea fans on MU stadium. It makes the whole sport look decidedly rigged, and will irritate both groups.
You guys own the place, by all means experiment.
I’m abandoning the platform for other sites. I’m leaving after 11 years of contributing to the maker community for two and half months of MMF management.
Can you tell me how to delete the forum account? There doesn’t appear to be an option under preferences.
