Greetings all! I’m using a Creality Ender 3 with PLA filament. My broad, flat prints are bending up at the corners, off of the print surface. I’m using glue stick, which normally solved the problem in the past, but not working now. I’m printing with a nozzle temp of 200C and a bed temp of 80C. To help the corners stick to the bed, should I increase or decrease temperatures? Other fixes? Thanks!
80 is probably too high for PLA. Typically, I print at 60 on the bed temp.
Does your filament suggest 80 for the bed temp? Do you have an enclosure? Open air printers are more susceptible to outside temperature issues.
Do you have a metal build plate or that spongy black magnetic plate? My S9+ had the spongy stuff and after a year nothing would stick. I bought a metal build plate and never had a problem since.
If its the corners lifting it sounds like the print is shrinking and warping. PLA is usually not a problem but PETG and ABS are bad for this. If the design has long straight edges you will probably get more lifting at corners. Often this is due to your cooling fans so adjusting the cooling may help. The other options include altering the design is possible or adding anti warping tabs. Cura has a few add-ons that can help.
