Hi everyone !
I wonder what makes Thingiverse put something features or not …
it’s not about ecology or about wallet - but it could…
It’s more about common sense…
Why make this product - that won’t last when you can have the same one for cheaper?
Let’s make the list : Short inline automotive blade fuse holder by blue_haniwa - Thingiverse
You need
- Print the part
- Buy the connector
- Buy the cable
- Buy the fuse
- Pay the shipping cost
When you can end up with the same version with the cable sealed - waterproof for cheaper…
I don’t know in your country but in mine i can get 5pcs for the price of one in print.
Maybe we could do a best off of …

Hi, just a quick clarification, that section isn’t the ‘Featured’ section -I’m the one who selects those-. It’s actually the homepage, and getting there is mostly based on likes. Therefore, whether we like it or not, the projects the community values most end up there. A recent change is that they are now only shown for a 7-day novelty period (it used to be 30 days). I completely understand your point, but that’s just how the community is with the things they like and you never know, maybe this type of file can help more than one person in a difficult situation.

For me it’s anything but useless as to buy the ready made ones I would have to get them from Amazon or similar but seeing I already have all the other bits that I purchased from the local electronics supply some years ago, easy put together after print.
