My dad has gotten into 3D printing and so we got him some gift cards on Myminifactory. I couldn’t find gift cards for Thingiverse but he has bought files here.
Seeing that Thingiverse and Myminifactoy have merged I was wondering if others would be interested in using the Myminifactoy wallet here.
This’d make sense; in another thread they were talking about monetization and I suggested it might be good to do something like this–have an account you can add money to and use that to easily pay a bunch of different creators in order to support what they do
@jack3q do you mean for any future paid featured on Thingiverse? Everything on Thingiverse is free so I just want to understand what you would want to use gift cards for?

Initially I would use it for tips.
Some designers here offer free samples. It would be convenient to pay them for their other work.
I don’t design or anything and I don’t mind putting money with designers who have what I like.
I understand the appeal of a free Thingiverse, I also know someone has to keep the lights on,
